mr_tron — 2019-10-20 23:23:54 Subj. It easiest way to install. It works in isolated sandbox and allow to run you closed source code without making user nervous.
cancel — 2019-10-21 16:45:04 Why not Flatpak?
shivaram — 2019-11-13 19:48:01 Tentative +1 for Flatpak as opposed to Snap (alternately, Flatpak now and Snap later)
excieve — 2019-11-22 13:24:54 +1 for Flatpak (just a personal preference), although Snap would work too.
Alfredo — 2019-12-27 18:00:23 Looking to the future, which includes PinePhone, a Flatpak distribution would make PinePhone's usability significantly higher.
cancel — 2019-12-28 02:06:35 Ripcord isn't designed to work on a phone. I don't have any motivation to package a version for Linux phones. There's no way enough people would pay for it to make it work the ongoing, recurring & perpetual burden of maintenance and testing for such a fringe platform.
cancel — 2020-02-18 20:39:33 I'm closing this until either snap or flatpak wins. I can't support both of those and an AppImage, and on 2 different architectures. (that's 6 builds for every release, just for Linux!) |
