Subj. It easiest way to install. It works in isolated sandbox and allow to run you closed source code without making user nervous.

Why not Flatpak?

Tentative +1 for Flatpak as opposed to Snap (alternately, Flatpak now and Snap later)

+1 for Flatpak (just a personal preference), although Snap would work too.

Looking to the future, which includes PinePhone, a Flatpak distribution would make PinePhone's usability significantly higher.

Ripcord isn't designed to work on a phone. I don't have any motivation to package a version for Linux phones. There's no way enough people would pay for it to make it work the ongoing, recurring & perpetual burden of maintenance and testing for such a fringe platform.

I'm closing this until either snap or flatpak wins. I can't support both of those and an AppImage, and on 2 different architectures. (that's 6 builds for every release, just for Linux!)
