sudocurse — 2019-09-25 22:08:28 Hey, asking for a context menu item on Slack messages. The feature request is to be able to right click on a message and click "Copy message link" to copy the URL to your clipboard. The use case is to grab links that can be used to directly take people to a message. Pasting a slack url also triggers Slack's "quoting" which just has the server decorate your message containing the link with a preview of the link target, basically means you don't really need to implement the sharing feature.

cancel — 2019-09-26 01:09:22 That's a good idea.
Elijah_Lynn — 2021-05-06 20:09:20 This is a major feature that I use on a daily basis with the Slack app. In the Slack app, one can use the context menu to copy the link or right click on the timestamp and copy the link that way. The least friction is right-click and "copy link". I'd like to see this feature added too!
arnaud — 2021-09-23 19:58:52 UP! Like Elijah, that's one feature I would really love, as it makes me use the Slack app when I need to share references across channels. |
