luphy — 2018-11-20 20:19:42The Slack workspace for my workplace uses an external SSO provider for authentication. Essentially, when you go to the login page for the workspace it opens a browser window in the app that is redirected to the SSO page. It then provides a SAML response to Slack that is used to login.
In the application itself, it will simply say "Failed to sign in" likely because the workspace does not allow login without SSO.
If you require any more details, feel free to message me, I am "luphy" in the Ripcord server.

cancel — 2018-12-29 05:56:26Yep. This is a really important feature. It's hard for me to test because I currently don't have access to any Slack instances that use SSO, since it's not something an individual can just sign up for. I'm working on updating Ripcord to Qt 5.12, and then I'll take a look at making some alternate system that allows copying credentials out of a browser (similar to how Ripcord can use copied credentials from Discord.)

kang — 2019-01-22 20:58:22@cancel I can provide you a temporary access to a Slack instance with SSO for testing & dev if you would like.
Please contact me on this account email for access :)
