Is it possible to have a hint on animated gifs, movies, etc in Ripcord? Like a small icon or text tag on the corner of the media thumbnail?

I noticed the plan to support "Animated images and videos" was "Never", which is understandable, but it's hard to skim through conversations and realize I might need to click something to get the full content.

I haven't added it yet for video files. For GIFs, there should be an indicator in the corner, but I think there's a bug in high DPI where it doesn't show up. Thanks for reminding me. I'll look into it.

Hmm, not seeing it. I'm running a mixed DPI setup (no scaling though). It seems Ripcord selects the primary monitor DPI so I was able to test with normal and hidpi. Both an upload gif directly to ripcord and as a url preview (when the gif was uploaded to imgur) don't have hany sort of icon. Both when my primary monitor was the hidpi one or the normal one.

Unless the mixed DPI could also be the cause xD
