Discord recently have migrated their web services onto the a new domain, which is just simply discord.com.
Hopefully this should be a simple rewrite of the existing API url in ripcord.

I would not expect this to be a priority change, but I'm not sure how long they intend to maintain the discordapp.com to discord.com rewrite if they expect traffic to be coming from a regular client.
They may trigger an fraud flag and lock an account in the future if they wish to use it as such.

Oh, I didn't even know this. It's just a one-line change in Ripcord.
