In discord, when accessing given text channels in servers, the users list shows only those users that have the permissions/privileges/roles able to see said channel. Switching to other channels updates users list accordingly per channel.

Currently, Ripcord shows the usernames of all members in the server in the users list no matter what channel one is viewing, irrespective of each individual member's permissions/privileges/roles.

Feature requested: add toggleable option in preferences to set the display behaviour of the users list, either to show all users in the server regardless of channel being accessed, or, mirroring the behaviour of discord, only users with permissions/privileges/roles to see the channel that is being accessed

However, am unsure of how feasible this may be.

This has to be determined by the server using the new system that Discord provides for user lists. It will come "for free" when Ripcord is changed to use the new system: 8b96569099

I will mark this ticket here as a duplicate, and add a note in the existing one about how it will affect seeing users only with permission in that channel.
