Just found this piece of software today and I already love it! Can't wait to see where it goes. :)

I'm not sure what you mean. Tabs aren't in the sidebar -- they're at the top. Could you explain further?

Aaaa I'm sorry, whatever you call the things in the sidebar.  I shouldn't have called them tabs sorry, I feel like the notifications should stick to the top of the window instead of scrolling with the rest of the sidebar contents.

That would require significant changes to the sidebar -- it would actually need to be split into two widgets: one that scrolls, and one that doesn't. I think a better compromise for ensuring that notifications count is always visible would be to have an option to put it in the status bar when there are more than 0 notifications. I actually kind of like that idea, so maybe I'll add it soon.
