If I open the channel switcher (using ctrl+k), I have to focus another window then re-focus ripcord before the keybind works again.

This issue doesn't seem to happen on the openbox WM, and I haven't tried any others.
It also doesn't happen with other keybinds, for example alt+KEY for the menubar items, or ctrl+t.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start Xorg with the bspwm window manager
2. Open ripcord
3. Press ^k
4. Either press Escape to cancel, or use it to change channel
5. Press ^k again - it won't show the popup.

I also ran into this issue some time before 2020-10-01, but I cannot recall the exact date.
