I'm aware this has been requested before(and rejected), but would you please reconsider adding it? I think it is crucial

If I pretended to support it by implementing it, it wouldn't match with the way that Discord implements it, and people would get angry that the spoiler tags sometimes reveal text that should have been hidden.

I would like to echo this request. Most of the chats I spend time in are media-centric discussion hubs where spoiler tags are extremely necessary. I adore Ripcord and wish to switch to it entirely, heck, I'd even become a paid user, but without the basic spoiler tags (if nested spoilers are a thing I don't really care about that for my use case) I will never be able to do that.

(P.S. Thank you for all of your hard work on Ripcord. This program is the bee's knees and is so close to being the ultimate replacement for Discord, at least for me. I wish more software followed this style of UI design. Minimal and efficient!)

I wish this function become reality some day. I absolutely would change Ripcord by Discord, no doubt. Ripcord would be perfect

Would it be possible to instead add some sort of warning before and after such text? Even just a coloured

!! SPOILER !!

or similar would be a huge improvement.

To clarify what I mean, sorry; if there's an issue with parsing what is and isn't meant to be spoiler 'd text, could the double pipes instead be simply (and perhaps optionally?) rendered as such a warning? Would this sidestep the issue?
