Slack conversations show display_name of the user in conversations. Although it's not the ID, I still wish I could see the user's real_name which is better formatted and not login-like. Compare:

• smith.john

vs

• John Smith

This is an issue with certain workspace-wide settings that Ripcord doesn't handle. I'm looking into it. (Normally, Ripcord will display the correct user name, unless a certain combination of settings for the workspace are set.)

Upon using Ripcord longer, I can see that Windows Action Center notifications show the user's real name in angle brackets, but the chat window still shows either a display_name or dots, as I mentioned in another ticket.

Fixed in next release.
