banghy — 2019-10-07 16:32:46 Currently Ripcord sends to Discord requests with a clearly marked 'Ripcord 0.4.18 ( https://cancel.fm )' User-Agent. That means Discord cans automatically ban you because they likely know that Ripcord is a third-party client and not a web browser. They can ban you for it and they did disable my account for this. Right now Ripcord users risk getting their account disabled. Simple fix is to either use a typical WebKit User-Agent or let the user choose it. Third-party clients are against Discord's ToS so I really do not see any reason for intentionally telling their servers that you do use such a client (that's looking for trouble at best). | ||||
cancel — 2019-10-08 04:52:57 I'll be posting something soon that explains the current situation. And yes, this may be an option in future versions of Ripcord, depending on what happens. |
